NIMHANS launches ‘INDIAN’-Digital Learning Initiative

Bengaluru: NIMHANS Director Dr BN Gangadhar, announced the proposed launch of digital learning initiative titled ‘INDIANS’ (IPS-South Zone and NIMHANS Digital Initiative for Academic and Nurturing Skills) for psychiatry post graduate students & practising psychiatrists from all over India.

This initiative aims to form a common platform for academic training of students. It intends to focus on speciality areas of Psychiatry including Forensic Psychiatry, Community Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Tele-psychiatry, Non-invasive Brain stimulation, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry among others.

Classes will be handled by faculty members of NIMHANS. The format will be didactic classes and case based learning using digital format and will be scheduled in a way that may not interfere with daily work routine of the student.
